The Tatti's eased their way into to the Semi Final of the Front Pin cup with a 30 pins victory over Fire Brigade at the Military Club, 231-201.
Booby surprised everyone by starting the night with a duck, a rare event indeed, and gradually improved by chalking up a few prime numbers after that.
Captain Ali was in sync with Booby to suffer a duck of his own but, having exchanged some good-humoured banter with the sticker (Eric) before his next go, he turned his fortunes around with a sublime flopper 16.
Prior to that, TK Maxx had achieved a 4 spare & soon afterwards Ali experienced what can only be described as a senior moment whilst watching, but failing to see, Bennys' 13 spare. Have in your mind Chris Kamaras' famous "I donno Jeff" moment on Sky Sports, and you may get what I mean. It's what led to the banter with Eric.
Anyway, Rusty played very well again with 31 but was pipped to the top score by Berti with one pin more. The Bogoes now look forward to playing Beevers in the Semi Final after they defeated Woodentops 185-182.
