Two points was more important than the performance at this stage of the season and a fantastic final ton leg secured victory for the Tatti's away against FJ Lions at the Q Club. The scoreline makes it appear to be a comfortable game but this was far from it. The Bogoes winning by 25 pins 348-323.
Trailing by 7 pins after three legs apiece, their 101 last leg, thanks to back-to-back spares by Benny & Anchor Man, turned the match on its head. In stark contrast FJ Lions finished with a dire sub 70 when chasing 95 to win.
"Excellent win against a good lions side. Spares were hard to come by but with lions getting 3 we found ourselves 7 pin behind on 3 legs. So a big last leg was needed and up stepped Benny who floored his signature first ball and dispatched the rest with second to record a brilliant 15. Back in it anchor man then followed it with an excellent 13 and with a steady top six we left lions 95 to win. The result looks comfortable but it was far from that but we dug deep when it mattered. The captain and the anchor shared the highest score gong with Benny one behind on 33. Keep it going boys !!"
