2nd January 26 v Fire Brigade (H) Won 372-346

After a long festive break, the Tatti's returned to action at their Military Club home for the return fixture against Fire Brigade & with a good team performance they won by 26 pins, 372-346.

Cheeso took all the plaudits with a superb 'Vorni' thanks to a late 15 spare. He topped the scoring in a game where nine players made it into the 30's, so hopefully, this is a sign of further good performances to come in 2026. They need to keep the pressure on current league leaders Evans SC, who beat Painters 'B' to stay 4 points ahead of the Tatti's.

"Good start to the new year and a really good team performance (9 players scoring 30+) which we knew it would have to be against a strong Fire Brigade side. Another better opening leg again this time 88 was matched by our opponents and they repeated it on the 2nd leg. It looked like we’d be down on two but Rob produced a fantastic flopper 16 to give us a slight lead and with Ian’s brilliant 14 soon after it set us up for a 3rd total of 97. Fire Brigade responded with 82 & 88 to leave us 74 for victory. Never comfortable on an alley that was becoming increasingly more challenging and without the mats I don’t what would happen!! Cheese helped himself to a brilliant 15 to finish and also took the top score accolade with a Vorni. Ian and the captain both notched 36 with Rob just behind on 35."
