10th January v Wellies (H) Won 391-374

The Tatti's kept their 100% record intact with an excellent 17 pins win over a very good Wellies side who achieved the highest score for an away team at the Snooker Centre No.1 alley, 391-374.

Wellies took full advantage of a very average start by the Bogoes to lead by 16 pins but they were disappointed to leave an opportunity for a Tatti's comeback with a poor second leg which only crept into the 80's when their top player felled a 12 spare.

Requiring 97 to level the Tatti's dug deep and got exactly that despite Captain Ali having the very rare feat of seeing his spare ball fly clean through the gap adjacent to the front pin. The only other time that Ali has missed with his spare ball was on 8th September 2017 in a Man v Man cup game at the Welsh Club (no.2 alley) against Fire Brigade.

The third leg consisted of some really good skittling not being rewarded until Prycer stepped up to clear the frame twice with a fabulous 18 spare. He enjoys playing against the Wellies, starting with an unbelievable 57 at their Social Club, he's scored 40 or more in five out of the eleven matches between the teams.

Many a team would have buckled at the sight of seeing the board showing them 104 behind but not Wellies. They demostrated why they are good team with two very good legs in the 90's leaving the Tatti's a decent target of 88 to win. After four goes though decent became a tough task after Boundy & Liam suffered a couple of 5's. Facing more than 8's from the eight players to play next on Jonah rose to the challenge with an 11 spare. It raised the atmosphere in the room and when Cheeso finished as he's started with another superb 14 spare it reduced the average per go to win to below five. Westy then immediately ended the contest with a well taken 13. In celebration Turps finished proceedings with the top half's 50th spare of the season, what a game!
