24th January v Wranglers (H) Won 402-356
The Tatti's produced their best again to record their third 400+ total of the season defeating the visiting Wranglers by 43 pins, 402-359
In this game, both Rusty & Booby achieved a 'Vorni' finishing just a pin behind Turps on 39 apiece with Rob having secured his place in the side earlier by edging out Cheeso in a bowl off that took two legs to decide..
Phil 'Benny' Hill played his first game of the season although he will admit he felt a little rusty after having such a long lay-off, whilst Boundy may regret drinking so much whiskey during the afternoon. Fortunately for him he'd sobered up a little by the third leg and was able to avoid taking the spoon off Berti with a late eight.
Statto's comment..The Tatti's have now scored 400 or more on twenty two occasions and Catain Ali is the only player who has played in each & every one of those game.
Star of the match was Turps who top scored with 40. He's currently in a rich vein of form having felled eleven spares in his last eight matches and his average during the past six league games has been 37.17. This has surged him to the top of the averages table.

17th January v The 'C'on Men (A) Lost 361-364
The Tatti's 100% record has come to an end by The 'C'on Men who won by three pins after a thrilling match at the Golden Lion, 361-364
Despite losing, the Bogoes were more than satisfied with their own performance after scoring 22 more pins than they did in this fixture last season when they won by ten.
The Tatti's fought back well from an opening leg defecit of eight pins to lead by four, after three legs apiece, mainly thanks to a couple of really good spares by Captain Ali and Turps. The lack of spare opportunities in their final leg seemed to be heading towards a mediocre total in the low 80's until Rusty finished proceedings with a superb 17. It surged the leg into the 90's leaving the Con Men a huge 98 to win.
A big ask then and their task soon became even tougher when they started with a four however, they were virtually faultless after that. With five nine's, an eight, three seven's, a six and a briliant 16 spare, they chalked up a massive 100 to win the game by three. Hat's off to them, they fully deserved their victory after that leg, especially as their week had sadly begun with the funeral of one of their long standing players, John Wear.
John was also a very good friend and team mate to quite a few of the Tattibogoes players who'd played bowls with him for many years. John will be remembered as a softly spoken, kind and generous man, but also a fierce competitor in both sports. He enjoyed a lot of success at bowls, winning many county competitions and qualifying for the National finals numerous times. He played for Herefordshire BA 212 times and is second only to the Tatti's Phil Holland with 76 appearances in Hereford's prestigeous Middleton Cup team (Phil has 79). RIP John.

10th January v Wellies (H) Won 391-374
The Tatti's kept their 100% record intact with an excellent 17 pins win over a very good Wellies side who achieved the highest score for an away team at the Snooker Centre No.1 alley, 391-374.
Many a team would have buckled at the sight of seeing the board showing them 104 behind but not Wellies. They demostrated why they are good team with two very good legs in the 90's leaving the Tatti's a decent target of 88 to win. After four goes though decent became a tough task after Boundy & Liam suffered a couple of 5's. Facing more than 8's from the eight players to play next on Jonah rose to the challenge with an 11 spare. It raised the atmosphere in the room and when Cheeso finished as he's started with another superb 14 spare it reduced the average per go to win to below five. Westy then immediately ended the contest with a well taken 13. In celebration Turps finished proceedings with the top half's 50th spare of the season, what a game!
Wellies took full advantage of a very average start by the Bogoes to lead by 16 pins but they were disappointed to leave an opportunity for a Tatti's comeback with a poor second leg which only crept into the 80's when their top player felled a 12 spare.
Requiring 97 to level the Tatti's dug deep and got exactly that despite Captain Ali having the very rare feat of seeing his spare ball fly clean through the gap adjacent to the front pin. The only other time that Ali has missed with his spare ball was on 8th September 2017 in a Man v Man cup game at the Welsh Club (no.2 alley) against Fire Brigade.
The third leg consisted of some really good skittling not being rewarded until Prycer stepped up to clear the frame twice with a fabulous 18 spare. He enjoys playing against the Wellies, starting with an unbelievable 57 at their Social Club, he's scored 40 or more in five out of the eleven matches between the teams.

3rd January v Richmond 'A' (H) Won 405-325
The Tatti's returned to action for their first game in 2020 with a superb 400+ performance at home against Richmond 'A', winning by a huge margin of 80 pins, 405-325.
The brilliant 124 opening leg is their best start to a match and was just one pin off equalling their highest leg ever, a 125 final leg achieved in November 2003 on the Welsh Club No.2 alley against Shop Assistants.
There were some cracking efforts in this match Boundy, Prycer, and Ali all scoring heavily with 37, Westy 'did a Vorni' on 39, but on the night the limelight was claimed by Turps who floored a brilliant personal best score of 45.
Top of the averages Jonah watched from the sidelines while Turps & Ali fought it out to be the one to knock him off his perch. In the end they both managed to do it pushing Jonah down into 3rd place. However, it's now very tight at the top with Ali leading the way by a single pin from Turps and two pins ahead of Jonah.
