The Tatti's responded well from last week's loss with an excellent 29 pins victory over league leaders FJ Lions at their Military Club home, 367-338
Berti's second spare, a 17, was the highlight of the third leg and helped to edge it into the 90's to leave their opponents 103 to level. Lions then suffered a disastrous sub 70 leg which ended their hopes of remaining at the top of division one.
Boundy's 13 spare in the final leg capped off a great performance by him with 37 before Berti finished as he started with an 8 to record the Tatti's highest individual score so far, a 46.
The Tatti's leapfrogged over Lions to share the lead with Evans SC in division one, just a single point above Lions.
"Bounced back well with an excellent win over the the league leaders. A better opening leg helped but lions responded with 93 and 82 leaving us 86 to level. A sold bottom half was boosted by an excellent top half with spares from cheese(11), Ian(13), and Russ(12) to give us a lead of 12. Ian’s brilliant 17 set us up to leave our opponents a big ton leg to catch but the game was effectively over when they could only manage 67. Ian topped scored with a fantastic 46 and with Boundy helping himself to a good spare to finish for a total of 37 & we ran out comfortable winners"
