4th December v Fire Brigade (KO Rnd3) Won 3-1 (331-293)

The Tatti's progressed through to the quarter final of the KO cup with a very good 3-1 victory over Fire Brigade at the Snooker Centre.

The team totals appear to show a convincing 38 pins win for the Bogoes however, in reality, the relatively new format of the KO cup (devised by Rob Weale) meant that when the Tatti's began their final leg Fire Brigade were the favourites to progress further in the competition. The situation was as follows:

  • Singles: 9 to win
  • Pairs: 20 to win (need a spare)
  • Triples: already won
  • Fours: 33 to win (three 8's and a 9)
So in the end the key score was Boundy's 11. Anything less than a spare at that point would have resulted in Rusty having to get the 9 to avoid defeat.

Good game that & another excellent performance by the team. Well done to Westy & Captain Ali for scoring in the 40's.
