30th Oct. Div.1 v Military 'D' (H) D 358-358

For the third home game in a row the Tatti's heaped pressure on themselves by starting with a poor opening leg.

Their opponents this time were Military 'D' who took full advantage by flooring two excellent legs in the nineties.  Then facing a huge 114 to level the Bogoes bottom halfers chucked in their 12th sub 40 of the season and the game looked over as a contest until the top half got into their stride.
A devastating spell started with a trio of 9's followed by a few spares from Rusty, Berti & Booby and an 8 by Rusty which would also have been a spare had he taken his single pin opportunity.

Despite another single pin chance missed by Jonah, Prycer weighed in with a superb 14 spare to complete a fabulous ton plus third leg & the fightback was on.

When Military 'D' returned to the alley they faced a target of 81 again, but this time they found the alley much more difficult. A couple of poor 80 legs followed to leave the Tatti's needing 83 to win.

In normal circumstances 83 should be routine but on this occasion it was one pin more than they could achieve & so both teams ended the night with a point apiece.

As it happens, this was the second time this fixture has ended in a draw. The last time was at K's in January 2006 when the Bogoes also needed 83 pins to win.
