26th September 2025 v Military 'D' (A) Won 352-348

The Tatti's claimed their first points of the season with a good away victory over Military 'D' by four pins, 352-348.

Prycer's 14 spare to end the opening leg was hugely influencial to the outcome of this match. It provided the Bogoes with a decent lead and became even more crucial when their second leg was a disappointing low 80.

After their superb third leg of 103, the game should have been out of their opponents reach but a dire 75 left the door open for the D's win with a 98

Now, Military D are a decent side, and can beat anyone on their day and, just a couple of weeks earlier, they claimed the Frank Peterson cup, defeating us & the GPO's with a fabulous last leg in the annual Military Club pre-season competition. So, it was no surprise when they responded with three spares in their bottom half. But, with the hard work done, and fortunately for the Bogoes, their top half stuttered and they fell short by 5 pins.

As I stated earlier, Prycer's spare pins made the difference and he rounded his evening off a great performance with a hat-trick of 8's to end up as the Tatti's top scorer. He's also topping the averages table so will be missed next week when he away in Devon.

"Excellent win in what turned out to be a tighter game after we’d opened up a 22 pin advantage after 3 legs. Good spares by Dave(14) Liam(11) and Dutchy(14) put us well in control until a disastrous last leg gave the D’s a really good chance to take the points and when their bottom half produced 3 spares it looked like it would be another defeat for us. However they let us off big time and in a tense finish they fell 4 pins short of the 98 needed to win. They will be gutted because it looked for all the money they would register their first points of the season. A better team performance and pure relief in the end with Dave once again top scoring with an excellent 38"

19th September v Harry's Lads (H) Lost 338-370

Yet another mediocre start to the new season at home by the Tatt's was duly punished by their opponents Harry's Lads, who hit top form to finish with back to back ton legs, winning by a big 38 pins margin, 338-370.

Prycer was excellent on the night, achieving the Bogoes highest score thanks to an 11 spare. He pipped Jonah by a single pin, who had earlier floored a fabulous 15 in the third leg. Sadly, Jonah's spare only served to provide the Tatti's with false hopes of competing with Harry's Lads.

A consolation late 12 spare by TK Maxx surged his total into the thirties to join Booby & Captain Ali who were the only other players to reach that target.

Things can only get better, I guess, and they will need to very quickly because they face another difficult game next week, away against Military 'D'.

"Up the Tatti's"

"Disappointing start but first game and all that we never really put our opponents under any pressure, albeit just about staying in the game until Harry’s returned to the alley for the second time and with two excellent ton legs they effectively ended the contest.

Good performances by Dave 36(11) and Jonah 35(15) with Liam helping himself to a respectable 32 thanks to our only other spare on the night. Hats off to Harry’s lads 370 on our alley is a good score !!

Move on, another big game next week against our stablemates"
