"Spares wins games" is the mantra often said at skittles and, it was true for this match as it was for their previous weeks' loss to Evans SC. The Tatti's are currently experiencing a spare drought at present and suffered a resounding 24 pins thrashing by Military 'D', 348-372.
That said, we take nothing away from the D's performance which was excellent. Their lowest player's score was 26 and their lowest individual score was a 5 (just four times) so, hats off, they well deserved their victory.
The Bogoes can take some positives out of the game, with their lowest individual effort also being a 5 (five times) and an excellent third leg of 93 without a spare. Perhaps, if they'd taken the spare opportunities that came their way (as they usually do), that leg would have surged well past the 100 mark and been the catalyst to a comeback effort.
Never mind, it wasn't to be. The Tatti's remain standing tall, clear at the top of the league by a couple of points, and would certainly have taken this position if they'd been offered it at the start of the season. They look forward to next week, when they take on last seasons title challengers, the Beevers.Well done to Captain Ali, who managed to achieve his teams solitary spare with a well taken single pin and ended up as top scorer.
Hey wait, where the hell is Booby?

"The omens weren’t great from the off, Shaun and Earl grinded out two frames in an Hour and 40 minutes in the icebox, don’t know of any Eskimos that are snooker players, Cheese forgot his phone so he had to borrow Benny’s to make the obligatory post from the Beer in Hand and Boundy travelled all the way back from his vacation giving up his evening when he could’ve spent it in the spa with a Jack Daniel’s and coke (bet he wished he’d have stayed in his speedos !!) Fred west donned his new pumps, not sure where he dug them up from, and Dick Turpin displayed what will be his new daps for rest of the season and again I’m not sure who he robbed them off! Least said about the game the better, but well played military D, we must improve boys"
