17th February 23 v Wellies (A) Won 373-341

A great team performance at the Wellington Social Club saw the Tatti's claim two more valuable points against Wellies, they comfortably won the match by 32 pins, 373-341.

A couple of late changes to the line up meant that last week's bowl-off turned out to be irrelevant and two of the players involved in it, Boundy & TK Maxx, shared top score. That said, Jonah would probably have taken this accolade if he hadn't been so unlucky on his third go. Nobody can fault his concentration though.......

10th February 23 v Barton (H) Won 359-353

The Tatti's blew hot & cold during another strange home match that saw them creep over the winning line to beat Barton by five pins, 359-354

Along with Vorni, Captain Ali & Vice Captain Stuee sat this one out whilst Westy somehow managed to pass a rigorous pre-match fitness test after suffering a nasty foot injury the previous week. Their decision to play Westy was fully vindicated when he produced a fabulous 17 spare in the third leg |& went on to finish with the Bogoes top score.

3rd February 23 v Beevers (A) L 378-380

Despite a brilliant final leg of 105 the Tatti's just fell short, losing by two pins against Beevers, 378-380

The sub 90 opening leg was probably the reason for the defeat although they will also point to Robs' second leg 9 & Berts' third leg 8. Both second ball's were nailed on spares as they struck their target but, unbelievably, on both occasions one pin remained standing when 99 times out of 100 it wouldn't have.

Not to be deterred, the Bogoes dug deep to produce a couple of excellent legs to keep the game alive, recovering from 15 pins behind, to leave Beevers 89 to win.

Well, it has to be said, hat's off to them. Achieving 90 without a spare they demonstrated why they deserve to be neck & neck with the Tatti's in the title race with eight matches to play, game on!
