28th Oct. Div.1 v Ramblers (H) W 382-318

The Tatti's bounced back from last weeks defeat in some style by thrashing Ramblers at home by 64 pins, 382-318.
Spares from Berti & Ali set them well on their way and Prycer almost floored a double flopper before felling the solitary pin left standing, capping off a superb 114 opening leg.

With Ramblers just managing to reach 80's the game was over as a contest as Prycer & Neville 'not had a nine yet' Westy added further spares in the second leg. But then, just as in all their previous matches this season, the Bogoes chucked in a sub 80 and any thoughts of a 400+ total went with it.

Allan will surely want to forget some of his his efforts as soon as possible, so here's a reminder of some of them matey... a first ball cush, a few balls through and a narrowly avoided duck by felling a copper.

Second best spare of the night has to go to Ali's trick shot 14; eight off the quarter, then back pin for the spare.

After a successful promotion event at Waterstones it was great to see Rodders back to demonstrate a few more delights from his book 'Two Pins Standing'.
In a grande finale he teamed up with Holly & Allan to show off a hat-trick of 7's where one ball hits the cush.

Next week Prycer will make his 700th appearance for the Tatti's when they entertain the team he started skittling with, Northend.

14th Oct. Div.1 v Fire Brigade (H) W 357-345

Third time lucky for the Tatti's as they finally win a home match.

After a poor sub 80 effort to start they soon found themselves chasing the game needing 99 to level when they returned for their second leg.
However, they dug deep and were rewarded with spares from Jonah (12) & Rusty (18) to keep them in contention.

Fire Bridage then chucked in a sub 80 themselves so when the Bogoes returned to close out the match they only needed 78 to win. However, but for Westy's 12 spare they may not have achieved it. It settled matters & eased the pressure on those that followed him unlike the previous home game when the team threw it away.

Bert celebrated his 900th competitive match with 42 thanks to a brace of spares, both came from first ball floppers.

30th Sept. Div.1 v Woodentops (H) L 360-365

The Tatti's second game on their new alley played out much the same as their first, cruising at the half way stage and believing the game was won, only to end up with a defeat.

It proved much harder to accept this one though because they only needed 81 to win and they crashed with a dire 76 final leg to gift the two points to their opponents.

Once the initial shock had subsided, Statto tried to make sense of it by sharing a few words in the company of Prycer & Captain Ali;

Statto said,
"That's what learning is, after all; not whether we lose the game, but how we lose and how we've changed because of it and what we take away from it that we never had before, to apply to other games. Losing, in a curious way, is winning".

Captain Ali response was less philosophical,
"We're fecking sh*t!"

There was no comment from Prycer.
