29th Jan. Div.1 v Beevers (A) W 368-339

The Bogoes achieved a comfortable away win over relegation threatened Beevers by 29 pins.

Holly starred with a superb 47, the Tatti's highest score of the season, while Rusty's brace of 14's should have seen him reach the 40's too but a 4 & a 5 either side of his spares held him back.

Berti was thankful for the win as his dire 21 was his worst performance in over eleven years.

The bottom half ended with 197 their highest score of the season.

For the second successive week the Tatti's encountered opposition at the top of their game and achieving their highest score of the Season. Fire Brigade's 393 last week was followed up by Harry's Lads 382 this week.

15th Jan. Div.1 v Fire Brigade (A) L 361-393

8th Jan. Div.1 v City Sports (H) W 351-346

The Tatti's claimed a narrow home victory by five pins against City Sports at the Snooker Centre.

More importantly it keeps them within two points of league leaders Military 'D', who beat Phoenix Nights at home, and a single point from Fire Brigade who they play next week.

This was a match where spares were hard to come by with Captain Ali felling a 14 in the first leg and Statto a 13 immediately afterwards. Frustratingly, there no further spare opportunities.

Despite suffering an unfortunate 4 in the third leg Ali went on to top score with 34 in what was a very forgettable game. Only five others just scraped into the thirties; Statto, Westy, Stuee, Prycer & Rodders.

As it happes, Rodders stole the limelight with an astonishing display of skittling. Everyone watched in amazement as he performed trick shot after trick shot, he was comical genius.
Apparently he developed his unconventional style by playing pairs Tennis at Wimbledon.

1st Jan.'16 Man v Man Cup Rnd3 v United Farmers W 9-2 (383-351)

A surprise visit by Big Ron spurred the Tatti's onto a 9-2 victory over United Farmers in round 3 of the man versus man cup.

It's been more than a decade since Big Ron set foot on a skittle alley in Hereford after relocating 170 miles away to Midhurst (West Sussex) in 2005His last match was in a division 1 game at the Farmers Club against Bartonsham Farmers on 2nd Septemer 2005 when he scored 26. The Bogoes won 374-325 and were champions at the end of that season.

Biggus, out walking his two dogs Killer & Kaka, called into the Golden Lion for a cheeky pint of Bow and was treated to a feast of skittling by his old team mates.

He saw the Bogoes flying out of the blocks in 2016 and none more so than Westy who floored a fantastic double flopper 21 in the third leg. It completed a sequence of three spares in succession following up Berti's 13 & Booby's 12.

Although unfortunate to miss a single pin chance later on in the final leg, Westy ended up with an excellent total of 46, the highest score ever by a Tattibogoes player at the Golden Lion.

Westy's efforts were rewarded after the game when Big Ron presented him with the Fruit Bowl Trophy and the Double Flopper Plaque before departing to continue on his walk with Killer & Kaka.
