16th Oct. Div.1 v Evans SC (H) W 345-336

The Tatti's claimed a couple of valuable points with a home win over Evans SC by nine pins.

However, following a dire first leg of just 71, the outcome looked very different when Evans surged into an 11 pins lead.  They then followed up with a 90+ second leg to go 105 in front and looked well set for a fourth successive away victory over the Tatti's. In fact the last time they lost was almost exactly five years ago on 15th Oct 2010 on the Lads Club No.3 alley, when Stuee Griffiths father appeared in the Tatti line up.

After seeing the scores & taking stock of the situation the Bogoes began their fightback. A superb second leg of 95 without a spare was backed up with another good 90+ thanks to a late Jonah wonder spare.

Despite these efforts though, Evans remained in the driving seat requiring just 82 to level. So when the Tatti's returned to complete proceedings they were pleasantly urprised to see a target of just 79 to win. And, the points were soon bagged with the struggling Benny doubling his score with a 12 spare and Holly achieving his fourth successive 29 total.

Finally, a special mention goes to Boundy who is sitting pretty at the top of the Tatti's averages table. With a 29 he narrowly failed to extend his run of five successive scores in the 30's, but its his best ever start to a new season and, currently he's the most improved player from last season.

9th Oct. Div.1 v Richmond Northend (A) L 339-340

After three matches, both Tattibogoes and Northend boasted a 100% record in the league however, neither looked potential champions in this match.

The first leg was ok but from then on the Bogoe's skittling was pretty shocking at times. The few exceptional moments, most notably a couple of brilliant spares from Boundy & Westy plus a routine one from Benny, served only to spread false hopes to the rest of the team. In the end the Tatti's efforts resulted in their lowest score ever on this alley & a deserved defeat.

Congratulations to Northend who now sit pretty at the top of the table & the only team in division one with a 100% record.

After struggling to 20 Stuee overtakes Benny in the race to Button Moon.

2nd Oct. Div.1 v Woodentops (A) W 343-327

The Tatti's traveled to The Barrels for the second time this season & were rewarded with another victory, this time by 16 pins over Woodentops to avenge their defeat in this fixture last season.

The two Russ's starred with 37 apiece. Cheeso got off to a fabulous start flooring 17, while Rusty saved his best until last with an important 14, which probably secured the two points.

After missing last weeks fixture, due to being arrested & charged with over-celebrating Wales beating England in the rugby world cup, Rob Weale returned to the fold & produced a pleasing performance at a venue where he's struggles in the past.
Rumour has it that this time Mick Wills gave him a few tips before the game.
